Simpson Booth are supporting a major IT business consultancy with the recruitment of an DevOps Technician for a highly attractive contract at their end customer's office, based in the beautiful sunny coast of Alicante, Spain.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a new beach-front lifestyle, working in a guaranteed long-term contract on an English-speaking project for a major official institution.
This is a stable freelancer position with an initial contract end date of 31/12/19, and the likelihood of extension for further annual renewals beyond this initial period. This is a full time position requiring 40 hours of on-site work per week (8x5 shifts) plus occasional overtime paid work outside of core working hours.
You will be earning an attractive day rate in accordance to the cost of living in Spain of 23.75 EUR per hour (190 EUR per day). Overtime work is paid at a higher rate.
Our Client's end customer is a major, highly established European institution, and you will be working from their new corporate office on the sunny beach front, playing a crucial role in the Systems team.
Only those with proven years of project support experience in an IT capacity, and advanced fluency in written and spoken English will be considered for this role. Knowledge and experience required:
- Great familiarity with the concept of CI/CD.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in CI/CD projects, using Servers such as Bamboo or Jenkins.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience using source code repositories such as Git or SVN.
- An educational and professional background in computer systems engineering.
- Oral and spoken fluency in English (B2 level minimum)
Desirable knowledge and experience:
- Previous experience using Automation engines such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Previous experience using container orchestration system for automating application processes, such as Kubernetes.
- Previous experience or knowledge of any of the following: Docker,Weblogic, HAProxy, Kafka, Redis, ELK, Tomcat, JBoss, Mule, ActiveMQ is also a plus.
