Assignment Description
- Manage the installation phase of forthcoming exhibitions - oversight and support for staff, input and decision-making during installation, oversight of security/loans installation, liaison with marketing and press colleagues for exhibition launch, liaison with colleagues for catalogue/leaflet production.
- Programming forward planning: developing the brief for tender for summer 2020 exhibition; touring exhibitions evaluation
- Mackinnon Project: touring exhibition input and ongoing feedback into project
- Permanent Treasures space (design and build project); input into procurement process and development of potential content with internal stakeholders
Essential Skills, Competences, Relevant Qualifications and previous Experience required
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Planning and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise/work to deadlines
- Practical design skills
- Strong inter-personal/relationship management skills
- Exhibition development and production in cultural heritage environment
- Project management and evaluation
- Management of staff
- Management of exhibition teams/contractors
- 1 June 31 July with option to extend for up to additional 8 weeks.
