JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of Role

Responsible to the Campaign Manager, the Graduate Business Partner role will provide support for communications and marketing campaigns and projects as outlined in the Innovation, Impact and Business marketing strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Graduate Business Partner will support several specific projects as outlined below:

  • To collate information and write the content for a series of case studies to showcase academic engagement with industry partners
  • To plan and support a photoshoot, liaising with the photographer and participants, ensuring that GDPR guidelines are adhered to and that there is coherence in the image style
  • To provide communications and marketing support for an external engagement celebration event to take place in July
  • To support the development and delivery of a social selling guidance toolkit to be made available online
  • To support the development of a personal branding guidance toolkit that can be translated into a training course for academic colleagues
  • To provide other communications and marketing assistance to support the Campaign Manager on the delivery of key strategic marketing campaigns as required

Training and Development opportunities

This role will provide the post-holder with the opportunity to gain experience of B2B communications and marketing in a large organisation. A full induction will be provided and any training and development opportunities will be identified in discussion with the line manager.

Level of Support

The Graduate Business Partner will meet with the Campaign Manager on a regular basis to discuss workload priorities and provide an opportunity to request any additional support.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Attainments/Qualifications

Upper second degree, preferably in a related qualification

Skills and Understanding

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write, edit and proof read copy
  • Understanding of web content management systems
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of social media and digital marketing

Prior Experience

Any examples of previous communications and marketing experience would be advantageous but is not a requirement for the role.
