Role: HPC Architect
Location: Prague
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: Dec 2019
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain infrastructure requirements for development/testing environment
- Work in close collaboration with Architecture and Operations to integrate new solutions
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of solutions required for new projects
- Ensure a high integration of infrastructure components
- Help to drive architectural improvements and standardization for the infrastructure environments
- Develop and enhance automated processes to release new solutions into the live environment
- Ensure controls are in place for all configuration items and only authorized changes are made for all assets within enterprise IT environment
- Accountable to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Engineering service scope
- Support operations for high priority incidents
- Define and maintain Engineering and Operations standards.
- Collaborate with vendors for smooth introduction of new solutions/services into operations
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in HPC (High Performance Computing) infrastructure
- Experience of working in a GxP/SOX qualified environment
- Experience of working with cross-functional and global teams including off-shore teams
- Experience of leading technical projects
Key Competencies
- Extensive experience in HPC platform design and build including IBM LSF, InfiniBand, GPFS, DDN storage, RedHat Linux
- Sizing, Performance tuning, High Availability design, Security hardening, Release management, Disaster Recovery planning
- Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Good understanding of networking (LAN and WAN) and security principles
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
