Global IT Solutions Company require a suitably experienced Network Architect for their client based in Dublin.
The role of the Network Architect is to progress our client's journey in providing centralised, re-usable technology assets that can be utilized and deployed globally. The successful candidate will draw on broad experience and deep expertise across the Network disciplines in order to develop and document robust and cost-effective Network approaches for all aspects of the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities of this position are to develop and document Network architectural standards to align with the target state architecture and roadmaps. These standards are utilized by our client globally to provide a cost effective, cohesive and consistent infrastructure footprint.
- Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are evolving to add business value.
- Assist in determining technical and product direction.
- Creation of technical artefacts that provide selection guides, reference architectures, best practices, and product information.
- Work within our clients architecture community, vendors and VAR's to develop re-usable assets and BoM's.
- Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations.
- Lead proof of concept activities, planning, defining objectives, success criteria and conducting verification.
- Review and update existing Network standards.
- Provide engineering expertise and leadership in Network design.
Candidate Qualifications:
The Network Architect will be an effective communicator with strong technical skills. She/he will be able to conceptualize, plan, document and communicate effectively. The correct candidate will possess energy, develop and document value-added solutions that enable standards to be globally adopted. Their technical documentation skills will be first rate - clear, concise, logical and unambiguous.
The successful candidate for this position will have the following experience and expertise:
- 10+ years relevant work experience in Network technologies..
- 3 - 5 years' experience designing LAN & WAN solutions.
- 3 - 5 years' experience as solution architect for Network, at scales from sites to data centres.
- Architect level knowledge of Azure & AWS networking.
- Architect level knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco spine & leaf architecture, iWAN & Viptella SD-WAN, Nexus and Catalyst Switches, ISR Routers, Cisco ISE, Wireless Access Points & Controllers.
- Architect level knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall technologies, IPS and IDS capabilities.
- Architect level knowledge of load balancing technologies including F5, NGINX.
- Good understanding of DNS, IPAM, Proxies and File transfer.
- Good understanding of various Network Management products and offerings.
- Works collaboratively with multiple levels to develop innovative or creative solutions that work effectively.
- Knowledgeable about current and possible future IT trends and technology.
- Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably.
- Experience with and ability to drive self-service solutions.
- Constantly and consistently a top performer who can be counted on to exceed goals on a regular basis.
