Description

Head of Credit and lending architecture is required for urgent contract position in London with one of the global IT Consulting organisation in London

Job specifications

Working primarily on global Credit and Lending programmes with internal staff and 3rd party vendors. Regular direct working with business and transformation partners.

Design and own the end to end architecture of secure, robust, scalable, multi-tier, multi-platform systems, including the integration of multiple applications and fulfilment of non-functional requirements. Articulate the application of technology to senior management, demonstrating an understanding of the business needs and drivers, and developing an architectural blueprint that clearly supports these needs and goals.

Act as the lead architect in communicating architecture within multiple DevOps pods ensuring fit for purpose solutions

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technically and commercially viable technology solutions to the complex business problems
  • Analyse functional and non-functional requirements
  • Participate in clear choice and RFP process as required
  • Ensure the proposed solution is fit for the purpose
  • Conduct PoC's to prove the complex technology decisions
  • Ensure IT principles, technology standards and the best practices are applied correctly
  • Conduct or participate architectural reviews. Own and manage the architectural risks
  • Manage stakeholder expectations while closely working with them
  • Provide technology leadership and mentorship to the development team
  • Lead architects across multiple programmes and DevOps pods providing an escalation point for decision making

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of designing/architecting n-tier enterprise applications
  • Good understanding of cloud, integration and workflow technologies a distinct advantage(eg Mulesoft, IBM BPM)
  • Good understanding of the banking domain (Commercial banking preferred)
  • Understanding of commercial credit & lending highly desirable
  • Experience of managing stakeholders expectation
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation with good command of written and spoken English
  • Track record of delivery under diversified/Matrix team structure
  • Familiar with Agilethe software development life cycle and methodologies
  • Ability in working under pressure
  • Able to work flexible hours and willingness to travel
