Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Helsinki, Finland
Looking for an experienced Senior IP Networking SW Engineers to join the R&D team in Helsinki, Finland, to develop and maintain the portfolio of Ethernet Switches, tailored for railway networking needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the current switch platform software and architecture.
- Collaborate with the HW- and rest of SW team in projects creating new versions for the switch platforms.
- Actively follow the standards applicable to railway industry.
- Plan and execute interoperability testing and conformance testing of their networking solution.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of working experience with networking systems with Embedded microcontrollers and ARM based CPUs is essential experience.
- Initiative and open personality with good communication skills.
- Savvy with Embedded C/C++, Linux, CI/CD, Unit testing tools, and networking systems various protocols stacks TCP/IP, IGMP, TRDP, TTDP, WTB, CAN etc.
- Knowledge on Embedded HW design is desired and would be helpful when co-operating with the HW team.
- Fluent in English, both orally and written, Finnish skills are plus.
Priority Experience
- Advanced C coding (experience)
- Ethernet and IP Stack.*deep* knowledge DHCP, IGMP, ERPS, TCP/IP, NTP, SNMP, VLAN, VPNs the more the merrier
- Protocol implementation and debugging (Tools, ability to read and implement standards)
- Linux, CibiOS and Microcontroller knowledge on ARM and STM32
- Secure Coding knowledge
- (bonus Functional Safety and SIL process knowledge)
- Self-initiating personality and good command of English, orally and written
