Migration/Configuration Engineer GIT Contract 6-12 Months. My client a global firm is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Migration/Configuration Engineer to join them on a contract basis.
Successful candidates will have experience with Subversion and GIT VCS Specific experience of GitLab as the server would be preferable. Candidates will have experience migrating non-standard layouts (eg the Products/PCAM/Java prefix) Experience migrating a lot of history - My client has over 700k revisions that need to be filtered in any migration undertaken at the root of the repo. You will have hands on experience with/exposure to multiple branching models and practices in Git. You will have exposure to Maven as a build tool, since my client will need significant updates there. You will have ability to train developers on changes required in their workflow Excellent communication and documentation skills. My client is looking for someone that will have extensive experience in GIT/Maven/SVN and migration from one Version Management tool to GIT. The person should be a architect level.
