Our client is offering a rare and highly exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Cloud and Data Engineer with expertise in AWS and Hadoop stack. They are in the process of planning migrations for the next 3-4 months on to AWS (Ec2, EMR & S3) and the continuing use of AWS with Spark & Scala.
They are willing to offer candidates flexibility and the opportunity to work remote 2-3 days per week.

Skills required:- Senior AWS experience, specifically with EC2, EMR, S3 and AWS data services
- Hadoop stack: Spark, Hive, Map reduce & SQOOP
- Data Lake management tools: Podium Date, Informatica BDE, Diyotta
- Experience Architecting on premise Data Lake on AWS
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of ETL Data Warehousing best practices
- Experience with SQL against relational databases, preferably with SQL Server, Oracle database platforms
