Mechanical Design Engineer - Inventor/Solidworks

Rate: £25 to £30 per hour dependent on experience
Duration: 6 months +
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Mechanical Design Engineer required for exciting contract working within a busy new product development (NPD) environment producing 2D and 3D CAD and Revit files working on CAD, Assembly, Data Management, Product Build and testing. You will be working within a busy, friendly team on a range of novel industrial/engineering products.

Skills and experience Required

• 3 years+ experience of developing 2D, 3D CAD solutions within a fast-pasted production environment
• Inventor or Solidworks expertise
• Ability to industrialise conceptual designs with a specific bias towards Design for Manufacture
• Ability to manage product data in relations to Bill of Materials (BOMs), cost and pricing
• Ability to produce manufacturing packaging specifications
• Experience of Plastic and Metal part design
• Ability to run DFMEA models in relation to risk and health and safety
