Description
We are looking for a Network Technician to work at our multinational client in The Hague
Deliverables:
- Detect, register and assign priority levels for LAN incidents, detected by Systems monitoring tools or end - users.
- Undertake immediate effort to restore the functionality according to defined procedures.
- Track calls/issues in the incident management system in time for the assigned priority level.
- If no ad-hoc solution can be achieved, escalate to 2nd level support.
- Coordinate incident resolution with other technical departments that need to be involved in incident resolution.
- Perform Level 1 LAN incident and problem management.
- Perform remotely replacement of defect LAN equipment
- Perform LAN equipment updates
- Perform routine/minor changes in the LAN as described in the LAN change service catalogue
- Perform Inventory management and Archiving
- Troubleshoot and solve Level 1 LAN performance problems
- Monitor utilization
- Provision Network Access Controlled Ports,
- Locate rogue users,
- Handle security incidents
Required skills:
- Education as Network Technician or similar and minimum 3 years of experience in this area.
- A certification equivalent to a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
- Good communication skills, used to working in a multinational and multicultural organisation.
- A very good level of English (oral and written) is required.
- The knowledge of German and French will be of added benefit.
