Harvey Nash are now recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accountant to work in the Wythall location for a 3 - 6 months contract for one of our financial services clients.
The role
This will be a varied role where, you will be involved rom production of quarterly regulatory and semi-annual statutory submissions, to analysing data from our clients fund accounting, investments and actuarial teams, to dealing with queries from stakeholders around the business, you'll play a key role in ensuring our client meets their financial reporting obligations.
You'll also play a key role in assisting with the testing, implementation and integration of any resulting changes to our clients finance systems or processes, in order to improve.
What we're looking for:
You will likely be a qualified accountant with previous experience of working within a Financial Services environment, with a good working knowledge of reporting standards such as IFRS.
You'll be comfortable with taking ownership of a wide range of tasks, working to tight deadlines, producing high quality working papers, whilst using your initiative to suggest and implement process improvements where appropriate.
You should also be able to demonstrate:
. knowledge of the practical issues involved in the production of financial reports;
. strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders;
. adaptability and approachability in a close team environment; and
. self-motivation, proactivity and organisation.
