Description
Our client a central government department are looking for a Financial Analyst on an initial 3 month contract based in Birmingham.
You will be responsible for researching and analysing historical and forecast Financial/Commercial data and other relevant information. Production of Annual budget and provision of financial input to the Agency's Annual Plan process, including supporting the Head of Financial Planning in order to secure appropriate funding from the department. Undertake cost allocation activities including reviewing and recommending different allocation methodologies where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the production of mid-term and long-term forecasts and strategic business plan (2-5 years), including development of base data information of high integrity which can be used for scenario-based modelling. MUST have working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting. Ideally have vast experience in strategic planning & be comfortable using advanced excel (pivot tables/analysis etc).
Qualifications - ACCA/AAT/CPA or equivalent required
