Job Description:
For the current application landscape my client need an experienced data architect that can help to build and execute guidelines with regard to data management. Using these guidelines, the architect will help analysts to document & analyse data flows and validate data architectures as development teams start to model their solutions, ensuring highly performant & flexible data solutions.
Within this scope, we are currently building a single operational data store, consolidating all data from all enterprise channels into a single resource of enterprise data from which we can derive specific data sets that serve both operational as analytical needs. The solution will be a cloud based solution using technologies like Azure Data Factory for ingestion, Azure Data Lake Storage for persistence, Data bricks for integration and machine learning & Power BI for business-driven reporting.
This is a challenging project using the latest technologies. Being a strong team player with strong communication & soft skills is a must to keep the complexity under control together with the project teams you will be collaborating with.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that can work with a high degree of autonomy and has the following skills and experience:
Must have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Data architecture
- Must have hands-on experience with Spark, Python, R (Databricks) and BI Tooling (Power BI)
- Proficient with Case Tools like: Enterprise Architect or similar
- Datamodelling skills in BCNF, Star or Snowflake (dimensional) schemas and Entity Attribute Value modelling
- Fluent in English
- Can comply with company standards and build new ones
- Experienced in technical communication & guidelines (high level to management, in-depth to teams, written, presentations,...)
- Skills to coordinate a team of diverse profiles and plan transversal tasks
Ideally Should have:
- Understanding of GDPR consequences for stored data
- Understanding and usage of cloud data infrastructure such as Azure data services
