The role is within the Data Integrity/Data Quality team under the Chief Data & Innovation Office, the main aim of this team is to make Data Quality (DQ) core to how we manage all business at Bank.
This includes the measuring and monitoring of business data front to back and driving DQ initiatives, all with the goal of creating a culture of self-regulation for DQ.
Data Engineers (Developer Design & Development - Mid Level)
The role is within the Data Integrity/Data Quality team under the Chief Data & Innovation Office, the main aim of this team is to make Data Quality (DQ) core to how we manage all business at Client. This includes the measuring and monitoring of business data front to back and driving DQ initiatives, all with the goal of creating a culture of self-regulation for DQ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data sourcing & engineering using ETL (Extract, Transform & Load ) and Business Intelligence/dashboarding tools.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, developers, and end-users to deliver working solutions and analytics in an Agile and Iterative manner.
- Direct involvement in the end-to-end system development life cycle (SDLC), from solution requirements gathering and validation activities through to Production deployment
- Create visualisation solutions for presentation of the data
- Work with large data sets using big data tools & techniques
Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in ETL & BI tools like Informatica, Pentaho, Qlik/Tableau
- Experience with programming and data languages such as Python, Java & PL/SQL desirable
- Experience working with Oracle & Hadoop
- End-to-end system development life cycle (SDLC) experience
- Experience in working with project managers, other developers and end-users to deliver working solution in an Agile and Iterative manner.
- Datamodelling experience will be an added advantage
