Our client Tier1 IT system integrator are looking for Data Center Engineer to support their client project based in Dublin, Ireland.

Job Requirement

  • Data Center engineer based Dublin, Ireland
  • Job requires to travel between multiple data centers to carry out Data Center Work.
  • Person should be ready to support out of office hours for projects and critical incidents

Technical Job specification

  • On-site technical support at Datacenters and Equipment rooms
  • Installation, operation & maintenance, troubleshooting and recovery of mechanical, electrical, communications and IT equipment at the Datacenters and Equipment Rooms
  • Server and communications device hardware and physical power and connectivity requirements, rack administration, device installations, power and connectivity cable management
  • Knowledge and experience of wired and wireless communications technologies used within Datacenters and Equipment Rooms
  • Remote control and diagnostic tools at Datacenters and Equipment Rooms - such as KVM, console devices, remote power cycling devices, environmental & energy sensors
  • Compliance with Datacenter and Equipment Room Security procedures
  • Troubleshooting in the Datacenter and Equipment Room environment
  • Structured cabling and patching in accordance with a patching plan or troubleshooting process
  • On-site support for 2nd and 3rd level support engineers during build activities or troubleshooting a problem
  • Media handling and tracking
  • On call support required in data centers outside office hours
  • Server Operating System and Application software installs according to standard build specifications, procedures and work instructions
