Network Engineer/Specialist (Vulnerability/Security) - 3 months - Salford - £400
Urgent 3 month contract based in Salford, Manchester for a Network Specialist CCNP/CCNA certified) is a self-motivated IT technical role responsible for supporting the projects and day to day support deliverables.
Specific to this contract period requirement, the role will be mainly to focus on Vulnerability Management.
Which requires CCNP/CCNA level network expertise to facilitate:
- Review of scanning outputs from various inputs/tools/managed service vendors
- Working with vendors and team members to agree vulnerability risks and subsequent remediation recommendations.
- Plan changes. Detailed planning with team members, business teams, service owners, security teams and vendors to ensure detailed implementation and fall back planning is provided.
- Progress approval of changes
- Support execution of changes (onsite and remotely depending on circumstances)
- Report on changes and track within cyclic weekly/monthly reporting
- Operationalize process and processes above to ensure a schedule of cyclic vulnerability management is in place.
Expectations include experienced support capabilities as 2nd/3rd level network engineer, sharp execution of remediation activities and to contribute with driving a team continuous improvement of service culture. Incorporating industry best practice methodologies in everyday efforts to continuously improve process and operational excellence applied to the remit of the role.
