Description
Your role
- Work on BroadForward's next generation product suite with high-performance, multi-threaded, Real Time software solutions, based on Linux and the latest software development tools and technologies
- Translate (client) requirements into product requirements, and subsequent software engineering disciplines: architecture, design, implementation and test
- Provide support for technical queries and conversations with our sales organization as well as our partners, customers and prospects
- Assist in (pre-)sales activities, such as preparation of RFI/RFP responses (technical sections)
Profile
- Talented and passionate professional, with at least 5 years of experience with software solutions in the Telecommunications industry
- Expertise in next generation IP Networking, especially in solutions architecture in the Telecom domain
- Knowledge of Telecom network architectures, components, protocols and their usage
- BS degree in Telecoms, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on technical experience in the following technical areas:
- C programming language in a Linux (RedHat) or other Unix OS environment
- Network protocols (TCP/IP, and one or more of Diameter, HTTP, RADIUS, SS7) and network protocol programming (sockets, stack development) incl. analysing network traces (Wireshark)
- Real Time software development
- Multi-threaded programming
- Preferably: High availability solutions
- Preferably: Virtualization solutions
- Preferably: Unix Scripting (Shell, Perl, Python)
- Bonus: 3GPP and IETF protocol standards
- Bonus: SNMP and Network Management Systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to read, write and speak English, including technical terminology
- Experience working with external clients, at multiple levels
- Self-starter, pro-active, able to take initiative and to work independently
- Based and allowed to work in The Netherlands
- Willingness to travel to international customer sites
