JavaScript Developer - React/GraphQL/Node.js - Contract
Role is based 100% in Rotterdam
Up to £750/day (plus expenses)
A globally respected FTSE-100 based in the heart of Rotterdam (Netherlands) is currently on the lookout for a JavaScript Developer to join their Digital Transformation team. This is an initial 6mth contract, but the programme of work is expected to last up to 2 years.
Working within a newly assembled and highly-talented department of technical specialists, the objective for this role is all about transforming processes and introducing new technologies to the company. This agile team is scaling at speed, and what they're doing on behalf of the business (and in turn the industry as a whole) it the first project of its kind. This is a project that will revolutionise the world of finance/trading, and any experience of trading systems and/or cryptocurrency/blockchain will be looked upon favourably (though is not essential).
You'll operate in 6-week iterations, accelerating the transformation project through its various stages and ensuring a smooth adoption period for the traders. This will be journey which you and your team will need to lead people on - teaching new and innovative ways-of-working - so exceptional communication skills are essential.
As a guide, this person is required to:
- Present progress to clients senior management at weekly showcases
- Lead workshops with dev teams and user testing groups
- Pair-code with other devs on a regular basis
This Javascript Developer role will vary depending on the needs at the time, but overall will be pretty focussed on coding. The client isn't spending countless hours trying to devise the perfect future-proof solution for every possible problem. They're learning rapidly through experimentation and then acting on what they learn.
