Description
For one of our clients in the aviation sector, we're looking for a data engineer. Dutch speaking is a plus, but not mandatory if fluently English speaking.Main activities:
Construction and maintenance of data pipelines
- Writes new data loads based on the functional specifications
- Maintenance existing data pipelines
- Monitors the use of standard coding methods and ensures code reusability
Testing the delivered data pipelines
- Performs the following tests independently or supports the team (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing and user testing) and ensures that the delivered code meets the requested specifications
- Prepares the software roll-out correctly (version management, installation scripts, release notes, etc.)
- Writing and maintaining documentation
- Writes documentation when delivering data pipelines taking into account the defined standards and in accordance with the rules of architecture.
Operational Support
- Supports the data pipelines from the agreed service level agreements
- Solves autonomous problems (bug fixes)
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (development of data pipelines on Big Data platforms or similar)
- Thorough programming knowledge, preferably in Python
- Knowledge of and experienced in testing, release policies, documentation
- Knowledge of and experience with SQL
- First experience with Cloud (ideally with AWS)
- Knowledge of Apache Airflow is a plus.
