UI/UX Designer/Developer (x2)
Location: Manchester
Initial Duration: 6 months
IR35: Awaiting client confirmation (presumed out of scope)

I'm heading up a project on behalf of a global IT consultancy that require 2 UX Designer to join their team on a major government project in Manchester.
The client have selected Pega Customer Services as their Advisor UI for their Contact Centre staff. The solution will be at the heart of the Contact Centre operations, integrating with the Telephony services and wider estate Back End systems.
Following an agile approach based in client offices in Manchester, this role will be key to roll-out across all contact centre staff.

.* PEGA experience favourable, but not essential.*

Tasks:
The Developer ensures that the applications that are developed with Pega technology are user-friendly and easy to understand. They are experts in human computer interaction and have expertise in Pega user interface components
Interfaces with the clients user experience team to understand the organizations style guide and user experience requirements
Interfaces with developers to ensure the users needs and goals are expressed in the User Interface design
Manages User Interface Design

Skills & Experience:
Proven experience of using a variety of usability testing methodologies to reveal actionable customer insights and gather user needs for web based services
Proven experience of creating research strategies/approaches
Proven experience of facilitating workshops
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on quantitative evidence
Confident in explaining user needs to senior civil servants and acting as a department at large
Extensive knowledge of human factors, ethnography and the user-centred design process for environment
Demonstrable knowledge, experience in and passion for user-centred design practices
Proven experience of audience modelling and developing design personas. experience across web content, tools and transactional services, especially those with complex user journeys (involving development of a logical sequence of steps to complete transactions)
Comfortable working with data from gathering and analysis through to design and presentation
Comfortable in the capacity of mentor for other user researcher(s).
Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships in high pressure environments.
Experience of working in an agile development environment with designers, business analysts and developers to create new digital products and services.
Experience of identifying user needs of users with accessibility requirements.
