mecscomms is recruiting for a contract IP Telephony Engineer to work as a Cisco Call Manager Voice Engineer for a global telecoms carrier and network provider in Reading, Berkshire. This is a 3 - 6 month rolling contract assignment. The role will work on a transformation project to migrate the Control Telephony Network from a Legacy TDM technology solution to a new Cisco Unified Communications Manager CUCM, VOIP Solution.

Role: Cisco CUCM Voice Network Engineer
Purpose: Build, configure, commission, install & support and migrate TDM telephony system to Cisco Call Manager, CUCM, Cisco IP Telephony, server build & SIP trunking network
Location: Wokingham, Reading, Berkshire, RG41 5BN
Hours: Monday - Friday,
Duration: 12 months+ contract
Rate: circa £35 per hour.
Security Clearance: SC or BPSS level clearance (or eligibility for clearance) is essential

Overview:
Contract opportunity for IP Telephony Voice Engineers to join an international telecommunications company to take ownership of a wide range of requests and projects including the migration of the Control Telephony Network from a Legacy TDM technology solution to a new Cisco CUCM IP VOIP Solution, as well as customer ceases, technical migration, configuration, delivery of customer data solutions across a global WAN MPLS network. The role will:
Responsibilities:
*Migrate the Control Telephony Network from a Legacy TDM technology solution to a new Cisco CUCM IP VOIP Solution
*Create new sites on the Call Manager system
*Provide professional network management & delivery of network installations
*Troubleshoot, resolve & monitor faults within the networks
*Build, configure, commission, install & support Cisco Call Manager, CUCM,
*Support Cisco IP Telephony, server build & SIP trunking networks
*Support Cisco Call Manager V12 deployment projects.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for voice network engineers with hands on project experience of Cisco Call Manager migrations. You should be capable of delivering creating new sites within call manager on coordinating project activity to ensure all 240 site migrations are delivered within the project timescale. Your knowledge, skills and experience should be similar to those outlined above & your technical knowledge should include as much of the following as possible:
*Cisco IP Telephony, server build & SIP trunking network experience
*Cisco Call Manager V12
*CUCM server
*SCCP knowledge
*Soft-ex Windows 2016 server & Soft-ex Application
*Dual network Switches (Cisco 2960)
*IP phones/CUCM and Soft-ex Server
*Good understating on WAN protocols and troubleshooting
*It is essential for candidates to currently hold OR be eligible to pass BPSS (Basic Check) and SC level security clearance checks.
