Job Description:
The development teams are predominantly based out of our Leatherhead office. The focus of the team is to develop new capabilities for our client using an Agile delivery framework. We are after both Junior and Senior Developers and offer the opportunity to develop skills through both formal and informal training and development activities.
Mandatory requirements:
* Good development skills using Java or Python with code written to a common standard including well documented code and design documents.
* Knowledge of System Testing and experience of automated testing - eg unit tests, integration tests, mocking/stubbing.
* Linux experience as a deployment platform and day-to-day development environment - eg can describe package management, networking configuration, log files, environment variables.
* Demonstrated experience in at least one of: RHEL, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu.
* Experience of a version control system: eg Git (preferred), SVN, Mercurial.
* Experience of continuous integration & analysis systems: eg Jenkins, SonarQube, FindBugs.
* Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies - eg Apache Tomcat, Log4J, Maven, Spring, RabbitMQ.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience of working in an Agile project delivery environment.
* Experience of automation/configuration management (ie Ansible).
* Experience of using Cloudera Distribution including Apache Hadoop (CDH) or other Big Data technologies.
