RTM are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our International Client within their Creative Centre of Excellence within Marketing and communications.
You will be working as Financial Controller/Assistant based in their iconic Waterloo offices.
The successful candidate will come from a media, in-house or design agency background and have a proven track record in Financial Control. A strategic thinker with design management skills.
As a Financial Controller you will have to:
- Ensure all projects have valid KPIs that are trackable. This is not only directed at suppliers but at the internal team process too, as supplier KPIs will be dependent on certain Shell actions.
- Identify suppliers who are over servicing/hitting/missing KPIs and putting correctional processes in place as and when necessary (with approval from Events GDL)
- Ensure all suppliers are meeting the requirements set out in their contracts/SOW and or pitch documentation (from which they won the business) - from a financial point of view.
- Ensure costs associated to SOW are not increasing year on year without valid reasoning. IE no rate increases/no change in agreed costings
- Ensure any allocated funding that is approved initially as an allowance or a pot of funding that may be used (refurb for example) has appropriate sign off requirements against them, prior to spend
- Attend briefing sessions for projects
- Support on SOW document creation - to ensure KPIs are appropriate
- Attend budget discussions/negotiations to manage deviations from pre-agreed rates and cost discounts
