SC Cleared Build & Deployment Engineer

Barrow-in-Furness

Start Date: Jan

Initial 6 month contract

Rate: Negotiable

Need to have current SC Clearance

My client are specialists in Infrastructure IT, End User Computing and Cloud Technologies and delivers complex end-user and datacentre transformations for large corporate organisations across a variety of sectors including, banking, telecoms, and retail. They are currently expanding their support team and are looking for experienced Support Engineers.

This will involve:
uploading building laptops and desktops images, Installing & re installing desktops and setting up local area networks. It will also involve doing basic hardware repairs/upgrades on desktop/laptop top assets including fixing screens, keyboards, adding memory etc.

Responsibilities:
This role will have Second Line responsibility for the Build Room, completion of IMACs, Project work and the overall accountability for built stock levels.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have a positive presence in the Build Environment
  • Lead proactive tidiness and logistical workflows within the Build Environment
  • Ensure open and transparent communications between all EUC personnel, particularly the EUC Team Leads
  • Second Line responsibility for IMACs- for both Hardware and Software/Application Completions
  • Oversee and Complete hardware related Refresh, Project Work and Demand Packages
  • Liaising with, and taking guidance from, the IMAC Schedulers
  • Having an awareness of built stock levels, working closely with the Stores Supervisor
  • 100% completion of individual PC Inventories and Installations
  • Completion of rebuilds and new builds where necessary
  • Ensuring a smooth workflow of kit between the Build Room and Stores

Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of HP and Dell
  • Technical grounding of Software/Engineering Applications
  • Windows 7, Windows 10 build and MS troubleshooting experience
  • Experience of KPIs and SLAs
  • Exemplary organisation, logistical skills and communication skills
  • Reporting and auditing
  • Working knowledge of ITIL - Foundation to Intermediate level will be beneficial
  • Security Clearance
  • Must have a full UK driving licence
