Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Architect to working on major GDS progarmme based out of Bristol or York
As an experienced Data Architect, In order to be a good match for this position you will have experience of the following:
- CURRENT LIVE SC CLEARANCE
- Design data models and metadata systems and to interpret business needs
- Provide oversight and advice to other data architects who are undertaking the design of data models and support the management of data dictionaries
- Make sure that their respective teams are working to the standards set for the organisation by the chief data architect
- Work with technical architects to make sure that organisation's systems are designed in accordance with the appropriate data architecture
- Able to listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders and interpret between them. Able to manage stakeholders' expectations and be flexible, is capable of proactive and reactive communication. Facilitates difficult discussions within the team or with diverse senior stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Technical
Experience of IT project architecture, design and delivery in an applications or solutions architecture capacity or in a development capacity.
A practical understanding of architectural models of application and solution delivery and also of delivery methodologies and ways of working.
Hands-on experience and knowledge of at least one solutions stack or product ecosystem coupled with a broad understanding of the range of application technologies which may be selected from to deliver required capabilities.
A desire to prove, pilot and learn new data models and keep up to date with industry best-practice, external disruptors and adapt accordingly.
Demonstrate the ability to identify areas where specialist input is required and consider their advice and input constructively in the broader context of a defined solution.
Experience and Behaviours
Experience of designing aspects of solutions to ensure coherent designs supporting an end to end service.
Demonstrate the ability to think pragmatically to balance architectural elegance, value for money and appropriate adoption of risk while delivering solutions
