We are seeking a highly technical, highly resourceful, Senior Front End Developer
Working on Node.js, React.js, Express, JavaScript (ES5 & ES6), Pug.js, and SCSS.
For the Front End, we are in the definition phase of the porting to the new Back End, the transformation to become component based and responsive will start in late January.
The entire transformation programme is, by any standard, complex and ambitious and it is receiving global attention from our technology partners.
The Contractor taking on this Senior Front End Developer role (Working on Node.js, React.js, Express, JavaScript (ES5 & ES6), Pug.js, and SCSS.) will be working closely with key business functions across Marketing, Buying & Merchandising, Finance, and Distribution and internally in Technology with Back End, QA, DevOps, PMs, BAs, and our Release Mgmt.

The technical skills we want to grow:
Our Front-Ends (2 customer facing sites and one Back Office site) are based on Node.js, JavaScript (ES5 & ES6), React.js, Pug.js, and SCSS.
The current front-ends were developed over quite some years and therefore contain different solution approaches. After the porting of the current Front End to our new Back End SAP CC), we will begin to gradually replace with component based and responsive solutions. We are therefore seeking developers with a strong orientation towards such solution patterns.
Working with our team to plan, design and build software to add to features to our E-commerce platform.
Act as an example by setting and closely following standards of best practices - ensuring maintainability, security and performance.
Evaluate techniques and technologies that can be introduced to the team to improve our software projects.
Communicating with the team and the wider company about your projects.
As a Senior Front End/Full-stack Developer, you will in addition:
Contribute to our Application Architecture definition
Review Solutions and be an active part of our Technical Design Authority
Provide technical leadership to your IT colleagues, Front End in particular
Experience working with and implementing responsive JavaScript front-ends
Experience with eCommerce or similar advanced B2C websites
Knowledge about distribution, finance, procurement, or inventory business processes
