Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst for initial 4-6 month contracts on a rate of £330/day (outside of IR35).

Responsibilities:
You will work within a small, dedicated team providing support and development activities to researchers delivering a range of complex and cost effective projects to improve patient treatment pathways. In this role, you will undertake research and development work related to the management, configuration and maintenance of confidential and secure databases, including the Safe Haven'. Your duties will include:
Processing, analysing and communicating data retrieved from the Safe Haven' for use in research, innovation and surveillance.
Data processing, analysis and content management for translational research projects.
Provision of quality assured services for all aspects of secure data handling, and associated research, development and training.
Establishing health informatics services to support N3 based cloud computing applications.
Developing robust and reliable networks for the acquisition, distribution and analysis of patient data from sensor applications.
Application of computer science, healthcare informatics and software methodologies to a variety of areas of clinical service and patient care pathways.

Requirements:
You will be a committed, energetic and self-motivated person and will be able to demonstrate the following essential attributes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and with good team-working skills, you will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
A creative approach for generating new ideas.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and Access.
Be eloquent with data protection and GDPR requirements.
Excellent data handling skills. A knowledge of Scripting languages such as Python or Perl and experience consuming webservices and APIs.
An understanding of quality management systems eg ISO9000.
Working knowledge of server applications, data processing, analysis and content management for translational research projects.
