Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Storage/EMC Engineer to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract however this may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and provide infrastructure knowledge and support and be the SME for all VMware Technologies. To be considered for this role you will be able to provide operational support for Storage infrastructure and have previous experience leading a team of engineers, you will have extensive experience of Backup infrastructure, data comms engineering and virtualisation infrastructure as well as experience of building a scalable, fault tolerant infrastructure platform previously. You will also possess working knowledge of VMware, vSphere, Horizon View as well as EMC SAN infrastructure. It is also important that you can demonstrate experience of storage technologies (SAN/NAS) and Converged Infrastructure (vBlocks).
