WebOps Engineer (AWS/Windows) - Contract - Manchester - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a WebOps Engineer to work at a leading public sector client based in Manchester on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will work with a large digital team to provide support to existing services and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide support and operational input to the existing WebOps team
- Provide support to requests that come from developers and testers.
- Work with the team to identify opportunities for automation and optimisation of systems.
- Provide documentation on configuration and changes.
- Support the existing backlog of operational issues and challenges
Experience required:
- A background in the support of web operations and applications
- Strong knowledge, and support of, AWS platforms
- An understanding of application deployment strategies, continuous integration and version control.
- Previous e xperience of debugging a complex, multi-server service in a high availability environment.
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
- Experience with Azure and VMWare virtualised Servers would be highly desirable.
- Good communication skills and also strong abilities in problem solving and critical thinking.
