I am currently recruiting for a Magento Developer to be based in Hammersmith on a 3 month initial contract paying £400 per day.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Magento developer, to join our newly created Direct to Consumer team. Your main responsibility is to be the technical lead and to own the architecture, concept to development (Front and Back End) of several Mangento eCommerce projects. You are required to have been a part of multiple implementations and to also have been the technical lead for one yourself.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain, expand and scale current eCommerce website
  • Maintain and enhance architecture against requirements
  • Design and build multiple eCommerce websites from concept
  • Custom build Magento extensions and themes
  • Develop Front End web components using CSS, JavaScript and HTML5
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code utilising software development best practices
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Corporate with web designers to match visual design intent
  • Support with budget and effort estimates for new projects

Experience and Skills

  • Front End website design and development in Magneto 1x and 2x (or other CMS platforms)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
  • Strong PHP/Object Oriented Programming skills
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, and XML
  • Programming experience
  • Strong database architecture skills, MySQL knowledge, experience interacting with database systems through abstraction layer
  • Proficient Linux user, understanding concepts behind LAMP/LNMP stack applications + those Magento uses out of the box (Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, etc.), ability to perform basic setup of the stack
  • Mobile web development experience
  • Deep knowledge of cross-browser and platform consistencies/quirks
  • Maintain strong relationships and partnerships with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience building major 3rd party systems integrations (ERPs, Payment Gateways, 3PL, etc.)
  • Experience in identifying and implementing performance optimisation's, understanding scalability concepts
  • In-depth knowledge of web-application security vulnerabilities and how to avoid them, understanding PCI compliance concepts
  • Demonstrate analytical insights, attention to detail and solution design.
  • Willingness to work hard and smart in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly evolving environment.
  • Clear, concise, high quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within tight timeframes.
