Intelligent Resource Recruitment is working in partnership with a major Public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting for an Finance Accountant role to be based out of York.
Job Title: Finance Accountant

The Maximum Daily Rate: £350 per day
Job Description:
- Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards; Summarise current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports; Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice; Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets, preparing reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- management of the finance function with particular emphasis on Financial Analysis, Forecasting and Budgets; Investments and Insurance; Maintenance of Regimental Funds; Tax, ERNIC and Gift; Preparation of the accounts for submission to Trustees and maintenance of Public Funds.
- Competences - must have strong financial background, preferably with professional qualifications and "Sage" accountancy experience.
- Must understand and/or be in sympathy with the regimental system including knowledge of the regimental organisation, history, traditions and customs. On Occasion, work unpaid overtime on weekends and evenings at regimental events. Flexibility in working hours is possible in order to compensate for working during normal off-duty time.
