SOX Consultant
I am urgently seeking a SOX consultant to join a global consultancy in Leeds.
Role description:
Manage the annual SOX testing program (Test of Effectiveness and Test of Design), for all in scope Business process and IT General controls.
This may include: Scoping and planning for the year ahead; Communicating with other parties involved in SOX testing (eg Client internal audit, control operators, Risk & Compliance); Reviewing and updating test scripts; communicating and reporting on progress and results of controls testing as well as next steps, risks, issues, etc. Managing a team of testers, ie allocating tasks and responsibilities, monitoring their work and reviewing the deliverables to ensure high quality testing work papers and conclusions. SOx experience in a tech or fin-tech company beneficial.
Key experience:
- ACA qualified (minimum 5 years PQE), ideally big 4 trained within audit with deep SOX experience
- Experience of working in large and/or multinational and multicultural corporate environment
- Experience of setting up and managing a team
- Detailed knowledge of SOX 404 requirements, processes, documentation and remediation
- Detailed understanding of internal controls testing requirements in terms of sample, frequency, etc.
- Knowledge of core financial controls, and of IT General Controls (IT GC)
- Communication, leadership and people skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
