Description
You will be developing and managing the Yocto build environment for a new Embedded Linux IoT device.
For this role you should have built up Linux distributions from scratch (ie from the ground up). You should have used Yocto for bespoke Hardware designs (eg a customer's own Hardware design), rather than building the distributions for an established bit of Hardware (eg like beaglebone).
For this role you should have experience with Linux build environments, specifically Yocto and Embedded DevOps.
The main focus of the work will be Yocto build work, but there is the opportunity to be involved in the Embedded Linux coding development if you wish.
This IoT product is very much in the development phase of the life cycle, and offers exciting work whilst working in a flexible environment.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Yocto build experience
- Built Linux distributions for bespoke Hardware designs
- Embedded Linux experience
- Linux Device Driver/Kernel, U-boot experience (desirable)
- Docker or Kubernetes (desirable)
OTHER INFORMATION:
You can work your hours in 4 days. There can be some further flexibility around this.
The clients main office is in Basingstoke, but they have other office locations in the UK that you could work can from.
