Ruby Developer - Central London
A major central government organisation are looking for a Back End/full-stack Ruby Developer to join a public sector organisation based in Victoria, London for an initial 3 month contract, inside IR35.
Job Description
We are looking for a Ruby Developer responsible for building applications, including anything from complex groups of Back End microservices to command line utilities and data processing scripts.
Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and building quality products is essential.
Technologies
- 2+ years' Ruby development experience
- Node.js, TypeScript (nice-to-have)
- Angular, React, Redux (nice-to-have)
- Prior GDS service team experience (nice-to-have)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automatisation.
