SENIOR CORPORATE ACTIONS ANALYST
LONDON
6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT
Pontoon has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Actions Analyst to join our client based in London on an initial 6-month assignment. Our client prides itself of providing innovative Investment Management serving the world's most sophisticated clients, from sovereign wealth funds and the wealthiest individuals and families, to the most successful hedge funds and corporate brands.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
. Analysing impact of events and agreeing processing 'approach' required,
. Check the work of others to ensure accurate, up-to-date client records.
. Monitor for full, timely and appropriate return of fund manager instructions and checking instructions out to custodians.
. Oversight of reconciliation breaks and escalating to the team where required.
. Identifying and resolving issues or escalating to Manager where required.
. Maintain data for collation and provision of MIS.
. Actively participate in team discussions and make suggestions that lead to quality, resource and target orientated improvements.
. Maintain documented procedures to ensure team compliance with industry regulation and best practice.
. Ensure that the Incident/regulatory breach reporting procedure is followed.
. Contribute to effective team-working and the overall efficiency of the team by assisting in the day-to-day training and coaching of less experienced members of the team.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
. Has relevant experience in Asset Management and Investment Operations, particularly corporate action related activities
. Understands a wide range of corporate action event types across major markets and across all instrument types.
. Good computer literacy.
. Has good knowledge of end-to-end procedures for the team and an understanding of the working processes of other teams within operations and other related departments.
. Has experience in using Aladdin system.
