Symantec Consultant - REMOTE WORKING - INSIDE IR35
I am working with a UK consultancy who are looking for a Symantec Specialist to cover the following:
- Automated patch management (inventory, catalog, prioritization and selection, installation and rollback, scheduling, integration, reporting)
- Role based access and authorization delegation for technical resources.
- Zero-day vulnerability remediation
- Distributed patch management architecture as we have CPE appliances deployed in client premises which need to be patched in addition to the hosted Servers and VMs within our own datacenters.
- Approval capability for patch deployment by a manager within the patch management product.
- Target end point OS compatibility (Centos, RHEL and Windows versions for Servers 2008,2012 and 2016 are most important but Windows 7-10 and MAC OSX are also important)
- Imaging and OS provision capability for heterogeneous listed in point 4 at least for Servers at first.
- Disabling first party and 3rd party automatic updates for OS and software applications and keeping only approved patch deployment as single patch roll out medium.
