Ruby Developer - Full Stack - E-commerce - central London
A major central government organisation are looking for a Full Stack Ruby Developer to join a public sector organisation based in the Westminster area, London for an initial 6 month contract, inside IR35.
Job Description
The client are looking for a Ruby Developer responsible for building applications.
The existing Mercato E-commerce system is to be replaced with a new Spree system. Both are built on Ruby on Rails.
Technologies
- 2+ years' Ruby development experience
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, React, Redux (nice-to-have)
- Prior GDS service team experience (nice-to-have)
- Experience with Mercato and/or Spree (nice-to-have)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automatisation.
