Senior 3rd level Windows Desktop Engineer | Brussels (Anderlecht), Belgium | Dutch/French/English speaking | 3-months extendable contract
I am currently recruiting for a 3rd level Windows desktop engineer, with proven experience in managing large enterprise desktop environments + desktop migrations.
The Windows Desktop Engineer is expected to have deep knowledge of Windows 7,8,10 at OS, Middleware and desktop operational level.
Must include experience in Windows desktop migrations (from lower to higher OS versions, 32 bit), and preferably domain migrations.
Must have the ability to debug all aspects of Windows desktop issues; from hardware, base OS, networking, Middleware, application layer, profile.
Requirements and skills for the 3rd level Windows desktop engineer role:
- Windows Scripting (Powershell, cmd, WMI).
- Active Directory, design and practical/operational knowledge
- Core Windows applications, eg Office 2010 -> Office365, IE, Chrome
- Typical Workstation management and tooling used in enterprise environment
- Networking/Firewall/VPN/DNS/DHCP - understanding and some basic debug experience
- Some knowledge of major applications used in enterprise environment
- Windows Server/RDP
- Hyper-V, VMWare
- Some Antivirus experience
- Mobile applications (eg O365 on smartphone)
Other requirements for the 3rd level Windows desktop engineer role:
- NL/FR/EN languages are required
- Candidate will be working face to face with onsite IT + end users, so high
- level of professionalism + interpersonal skills is crucial.
- Preferably experience working with Offshore partners.
- Ability to work independently, and be able to travel around Belgium.
- References essential.
