Job description
As a key player you will be performing technical support for the current overall project which is transferring Legacy systems to a large and complex SAP environment (about 18 tracks, 120 systems) + StreamServe and SapCloudPlatform.
Additionally you will support the technical project management.
As an expert within the SAP Basis team, you will be responsible for configuration, maintenance and optimisation of the existing or new components in the SAP-related environment
*Working independently under the supervision of the SAP BC Service Delivery Manager and have the ability to effectively communicate with our service providers to meet project needs and IT standards and policies
*This position is also responsible to install (or supervise) support packs, conduct upgrades, system refresh and troubleshooting, as well as administer databases and monitor and ensure peak performance of existing and SAP systems
*Setup system security based on our Security Policy
*Designing, supporting and documenting from technical perspective. This for all project related components. SAP, StreamServe, SCP,
*Design as well as provide ongoing recommendations and best practices from both technical and operational aspects
*Technical review of the implemented solution
*Monitoring day to day execution
Profile:
*Experienced knowledge of databases: Sybase ASE + SqlServer
*Operational experience with
oSUSE and Windows
oVMWare
*You have a minimum of 5 years job specific and hands-on SAP Basis technologies, with a proven track record of implementation, upgrade and maintenance projects.
*You are experienced and well-researched on current technologies that support SAP Business Suites/NetWeaver including ECC, BW, PO, BODS, MDG, GRC
*You have hands on experience of system refresh/copy, backups restore/recovery, server sizing
*You have demonstrated experience and understanding of ERP applications, system development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, Information Technology practices and methods.
*You have an analytical mind-set and are able to understand and analyse business processes for conversion to SAP and to optimize existing SAP processes.
*You are able to quickly identify and analyse technical risks & impacts and define alternatives & prioritizations to remove technical roadblocks. Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently in a fast-paced environment.
*You have strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers and senior management
Details;
*Based in Brussels
*Initial 4 month contract
*ASAP start
*English (essential) French (or) Dutch (Ideally be fluent in one and have an understanding of the other)
*€600 - €725 p/d (depending on experience)
