Senior Design Engineer
Scotstoun, Glasgow
Initial 6 Month Contract
£35 per hour LTD
Advantage Resourcing are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer with a Design/Technical Maturity background for a global defence organisation based in Scotstoun. The successful Senior Design Engineer will be working on some of the most bespoke and advanced naval ships in the country.
The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of activities associated with the control and maturity manage of the whole ship design. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, they will provide reporting and measures that demonstrator the design integrity has been maintained through into service. This role will involve working closely with a number of key stakeholders to provide confident of the design maturity through the engineer life cycles phases.
The successful candidate will ideally hold the following skills/experience:
*Experience managing the Engineering Technical Maturity, through coordinating Zonal Reviews and designating/implementing Maturity Targets relating to transition gates.
*Practical experience of Design or phase Reviews, knowledge of Maturity Management.
*Management of Engineering Quality Issues and Stakeholder Observations relating to Compartment Plan Approvals
*Windchill Document and Process Management experience
*Interacting with all stakeholders to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and manage scope and priorities
*Experience of communicating engineering issues and providing specifications for toolset developments, including communications, training and support of deployed toolsets and reports.
*LCM (Lifecycle Management Policy) Governance
*Ability to produce Technical Information providing supporting evidence of assurance to all stakeholders
