Assurance Officer (SC Cleared) required to work within the wider Data & Information Operations team. This role will support embedding a robust risk management framework across the organisation in respect of data and information management. Furthermore it will be to engage in assurance activity, compliance reviews and the identification and mitigation of risks, whether impacting at strategic, departmental or business area level.

Essential skills/experience required:

A good understanding of information management and the handling of sensitive/confidential data.
Basic awareness of legislation affecting Client activity including Data Protection and ECHR.
Administrative/secretarial skills.
Excellent interpersonal or customer service skills.
Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Analytical skills/data interpretation skills.
Problem solving.
Organisational/planning skills.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information and enquires.
Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.
Proven experience of administration, customer/service delivery.
Experience of working to tight timelines, work prioritisation and managing competing job demands.

Duties include:

Provide support to the business to include policy development, planning, performance, service delivery and governance.

Research, draft, develop, collate, co-ordinate and disseminate management information, policies, reports, briefings, business plans, presentations and web based communications (as appropriate).

Undertake projects, to include assessment of requisitions and incoming goods, case notifications, quality reviews, planning activity and campaigns (as appropriate).

Act as a point of contact for business and administrative queries and ensure that systems are established to monitor, audit and review processes/procedures.

Review, update and develop policy/procedures and data systems across business areas.

Ensure the quality, secure handling and dissemination of data/information, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with Client policy.

Provide PA/secretarial support to Directors/Senior Management and perform efficient administrative duties to support committees, senior management meetings, work groups, projects/programmes, business planning, events management and successfully prioritise workloads.

Ensure the availability of monthly budget/resource data, and prepare accurate monthly management reports for senior management meetings/review (as appropriate).

Maintain working relations across government departments, statutory bodies, private organisations (as appropriate) and attend working groups, government committees/meetings (as required).

Support the delivery and development of training products (as appropriate).

Update and maintain business plans, risk registers, and control procedures.
