THE ROLE
As a Unix Infrastructure Architect, you will consult with clients and investigate the specific needs of the client's organization, understanding the business processes, and creating tailored solutions to suit the needs of the client's business.

You will be work closely with the client during the solution design phase of an engagement to ensure that the technical design matches to the business requirements and outcomes.
Design the application solution and costing with frequent review of design documents. Also develop processes for continuous optimization of the provisioning of configuration items
THE INDIVIDUAL
Required knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or at least four years related experience
Provide Senior Level Unix Systems Server systems setup, administration, configurations, and automated implementations.
Help support UNIX environments services and resources for optimal efficiency, functionality, security and management.
Oversee planning, design, implementation, operation of Servers, infrastructure projects and participate in the specification of business requirements and implementation plans.
Evaluate, implement, and administer highly available infrastructure for Servers and web services. Provide operational support and experience with managing the virtualized infrastructures.
Help define, improve promote architecture and standards based on ITIL best practices
Assist and support all customer and operations in troubleshooting complex multidisciplinary issues
Provide infrastructure design, implementation planning, deployment support, software strategy, system troubleshooting, performance engineering and optimization, maintenance strategy.
Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and mentorship to internal engineering peers as required and lead technical staff responsibilities.
Drive requirements and technical due-diligence and infrastructure design.
Secure server systems by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Acting as focalpoint for UNIX infrastructure design.
Providing leadership, advice on Linux and SOLARIS based systems
