My Client in Central Brussels are looking for a Orale Developer on a long term contract paying upto 500 euros per day. This will be onsite when lockdown is over.
Successful studies in an IT area with master's level or 5 years of higher education
Remark: Where the minimum number of years of education is not fulfilled, 2 years of professional experience will be considered as equivalent for 1 year of study.
Minimum 13 years of practical and recent experience in Oracle database development.
Minimum 6 years of proven experience and knowledge of public procurement procedures and financial applications.
Knowledge and recent, practical experience in development with ColdFusion and in maintenance of IT applications developed in ColdFusion would be an asset.
Knowledge of other web technologies like PHP, Java and ASP would be an asset.
Expert knowledge of Oracle database development, SQL development, JavaScript, web technologies, web services and XML.
Proven experience in architecture, design, development and deployment of mission-critical IT systems and professional Software Engineering in general.
Capability to work in a structured way and to communicate with users, other developers and support staff. Strong analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and to deliver to tight deadlines.
Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills.
Very good command of both French and English.
Experience in the domain of language and translation applications would be an asset.
The candidate needs to be experienced, and able to work independently, on all aspects of designing an IT application: collecting and understanding user needs, designing mock-up, developing prototypes in Oracle SQL, versioning code, performing technical tests, organising the technical aspects of user's acceptance testing, organising the deployment in production, solving production issues, working in collaboration with DIGIT Oracle teams etc.
The candidate will work in close collaboration with developers as well as with key users. The candidate should therefore have a proven record of accomplishment of working successfully in a multi-lingual/multi-cultural team.
The candidate will also have to coordinate work with developers and share pro-actively his/her technical knowledge thus contributing to an efficient and effective manner of working.
The candidate will have to analyse written requirements documents, design technical solutions and integrate them in the existing application architecture. If necessary, adaptations of the application architecture will have to be elaborated and implemented, respecting maintainability, business continuity and performance requirements.
