VMWare Systems Administrator - Luxembourg
Languages: ENGLISH only.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor degree or related work experience required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a VMWare Administrator role.
- Deep knowledge in VMWare products (Horizon, vRealize, vSphere, NSX Cloud).
- Expert in maintaining server environments including security patches, firmware upgrades, hot fixes, service packs, intermediate versions/full version upgrades.
- Knowledge of network devices (Servers, Routers, Firewalls) and network administrator tools (WinSCP, Putty, Wireshark).
Description of work:
- Administers, installs, configures, and maintains VMWare Infrastructure and related software to ensure stable performance of the computing environment.
- Recognizes and troubleshoots VMWare Infrastructure problems.
- Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibilities.
- Researches, analyzes and recommends backup/security strategies as required.
- Performs installations of VMWare Infrastructures.
- Collaborate with IT staff in planning and project management as they relate to the system and server environment to ensure timely completion and delivery of IT services and solutions.
