Contract duration: 24 months (Extendable)

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for onboarding new data sources into Splunk both on-premise and AWS
- Analysing data for anomalies and trends
- Building dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data
- Editing and maintaining Splunk configuration files and applications
- Responsible to provide entity oversight to a team of Monitoring specialists
- Responsible for providing consultancy and SME level support to tools within the Digital Monitoring Team’s service catalogue (primarily on AppDynamics, Splunk and DataDog)
- Design and Develop automation via Shell scripting / Ansible playbooks / Jenkins to install, configure, and maintain tools
- Performs round the clock support (part of a Rota) on tools in a global team with members across geographies including the UK, HK, IN and Poland

Desirable Skill-set
- Expert knowledge of Splunk Enterprise 7.3
- Expert knowledge of Splunk within AWS and the associated technologies
- General understanding & knowledge of AppDynamics and underlying concepts a plus
- Experience with ESM (Enterprise Systems Management) a plus
- Effective communication and articulation skills in both written and oral English
- Platform knowledge across Unix, Linux, Java, Apache, Database, and Messaging technologies
- Application Development and/or Support and Performance Engineering experience a plus
- Scripting knowledge across scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python
- Knowledge of automation tools a plus; eg: Ansible
