Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit Media Technicians for an initial 4 month contract on a rate of £120-30/day (inside of IR35).

The Role:

The Media Studio Technicians will each support a recently created media studio space, equipment and teams while using the studios.
The technicians will be involved in the end to end operations of the studio from booking through to publishing outputs.

Responsibilities:
Responsibility for preparing the studio and all required equipment for filming.
Coaching and leading staff to get the best results form time in the studio
Filming and some editing
Interacting with the studio bookings process
Ensuring that all footage is added to the media management system
Implementing required health and safety guidance within the studio space

Requirements:
Experience and understanding of supporting media and technology services.
Experience of video technology, camera operation, editing and post production,
User and service support experience
Good organisational and planning skills.
Able to work independently
Able to deal with unforeseen problems and circumstances in a calm and professional manner, yet able to judge when escalation is required.
Some experience of video editing and working with post production software, such as Adobe Premier Pro

Desirable Skills:
Experience of educational media production
Understanding of copyright and open licensing
Experience of producing media
Experience of following style guides and applying standard branding
Understanding of accessibility issues as this relates to video and audio content.
Experience of media management administration
