Sybase Database Administrator
Sybase DBA - A global business in Oslo, Norway is currently looking for a Sybase DBA to join their team on a contract basis for the next 2 years.
Working with the IT infrastructure teams, the Sybase DBA will be responsible for the installation and configuration of Sybase databases ASE/IQ, and will perform regular database maintenance tasks such as rebuilding indexes, Fix fragmentation, database upgrades and regulating storage management.
As the key point of contact for Sybase Administration, you will also ensure database availability and backup/restoration and recovery systems are properly maintained.
The successful Sybase DBA will have demonstrable, recent experience of working with and maintaining Sybase databases, ideally ASE/IQ, and be comfortable taking responsibility for ensuring the smooth operation of this environment.
Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, remote working will be considered whilst travel restrictions are in place.
