One of Energize Tech's key customers are looking for a full time polyvalent CyberSecurity DevOps Engineer to join their team; the ideal candidate will play a role between CyberSecurity Engineer, DevOps, and developer. The successful candidate will work on a highly technical IT Security team of an EU Institution based in Luxembourg.
Some key info is below;
- 12+ month contract with the real possibility of extension
- 440€/day rate
- Start date: ASAP
- Completely remote role during the current world pandemic and could even be possible to stay remote afterwards
The candidate will be responsible for integration, automation and development for the out of the box and custom-built solutions in a heterogeneous technical landscape. These solutions are built to support the incident response, security operations and engineering teams in their day-to-day activities.
For this position, we are looking for a mid-experienced tech-savvy professional with a wide understanding of technology who feels comfortable working on a highly technical team and with diverse technologies.
The candidate will have good communication skills, and experience in collaborating effectively with various teams, with different cultural backgrounds.
Skills:
- Knowledge of IT Security in particular, in the areas of security operations and incident response. Despite the candidate will not be part of SOC or IR teams, the experience is highly considered in order to understand the core business of the unit.
- Demonstrated knowledge on integration and automation on a heterogeneous environment.
- Good coding experience, being able to develop and maintain small to medium sized solutions, integrations and plugins in the below-mentioned languages.
- Proficiency in several programming languages eg Python, Go, Java and PHP.
- JavaScript knowledge for both front and Back End will also be valued.
- CI/CD (eg GitLab)
- Hands on configuration, customization and development experience on Atlassian product suite (Jira and Confluence) to integrate with other applications, develop small plugins, maintain, and customize existing ones.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Linux environments. Troubleshooting and tweaking (Systemd, Shell Scripting, etc.)
- Networking expertise (Firewalls, DNS, basic routing and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP(S), DNS, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code in one or more of the following tools: Terraform, Ansible
- Knowledge on Elastic products, especially on ElasticSearch.
- Development knowledge on ElasticSearch products would be a plus.
- Sound knowledge on setup and maintenance of RDMSes (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
- Knowledge on cloud technologies and service models, preferably on AWS and/or Azure.
Nice to have:
- Security and/or development certifications are a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of SIEM technologies, their architecture, components and integrations with them. ArcSight and/or Splunk in particular.
- Knowledge of Windows will be positive.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science, computer engineering, information technology, management information systems or equivalent.
- Cybersecurity experience is required particularly in security operations and incident response areas.
- Security and/or development certifications are a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated capacity to document, maintain and perform comprehensible coding aligned to best practices.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and changes of scope and priority and make decisions and recommendations with limited data.
- Solid analytical/problem-solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems.
- Willing to continually learn new technologies, languages and adapt to business needs.
- Able to document clearly and concisely in English.
- Good level of English (at least C1) spoken and written is a must
- Good level of French and or other EU official language is a plus.
