An excellent contract opportunity for a Fluent Dutch or French speaking Enterprise Data Architect to join a leading client located in Brussels.
Our client is looking for a Data Architect within the IT Department who has a strong talent for technology, who thrives on the opportunity to decipher data systems.
Activities generate and use large amounts of data in various forms.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the development and use of company data systems and in consultation with CISO, guarantee that all information from, within and to the company is timely and secure, within the defined framework of the information security policy
- Take responsibility for the management of the master data set
- Develop (BI) report templates, reports and solve data problems
- Develop and implement procedures for effective data management
- Supervise employees in their daily use of data systems
- Ensure compliance with legal and company regulations
- Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems
- Assist in recognizing and enforcing digital security system policies and procedures to protect business-sensitive information
- Process confidential data and information according to guidelines
- Contribute technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
- Assesses system performance and make recommendations for software, hardware and data storage improvements
- Manage and monitor all incoming and outgoing data streams
- Manage master data, including creation, updating, deletion, and archiving
- Assists in managing users and user roles
- Take responsibility for the operational quality assurance of imported data
- Regulate the commissioning and decommissioning of data sets
- Help develop report templates, reports and data analyses
- Management and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security and metadata
- Management of the data warehouse and identifying and reviewing reporting requirements
- Support data integrity and standardisation initiatives
- Assess tests and implement new or upgraded software as well as assist making strategic decisions regarding new systems
- Generate reports of single or multiple data sources and systems
- Help solve problems with the database environment and reports
- Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems
- Trains end users in the use of new reports and dashboards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field
- An analytical mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to translate complex problems clearly and in non-technical terms
- Ability to work with different types and levels of stakeholders to assess potential risks
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English and Dutch or French
